We Need You!

The elected officials of Odessa are again looking for the help of our citizens. We are considering naming our Village Offices. As you know, the most important building in Odessa is known only as the “Municipal Building”. We are considering changing that and would like your thoughts.

The way we would like to change this is by honoring the past. Our goal would be to name the building after an intricate member of our Village from the past. What are your thoughts?

Please drop a note, e-mail or mail us your thoughts. The addresses and e-mail can be found at the top of the newsletter.

Thank you and we look forward to hearing from all of you.

Department of Public Works

Leaf Pickup
The Village DPW will pick up leaves on a regular basis. Please make sure that leaves are placed in bags (paper bags are preferred since they can be recycled along with the leaves) or containers. PLEASE make sure the bag or container can be hoisted aloft; if the container is too heavy it will be left.

Do Not Blow Leaves into the Road
This is illegal and can cause accidents, so please keep the leaves on your property.

Branches
Due to new equipment being purchased, the DPW asks that village residents place the branches PARALLEL to the road. This way we will be able to use our grapple attachment to pick up the branches and place them in the truck.

Snow Removal
DPW would like to remind residents that plowing or snowblowing snow into the village streets is illegal.
Please keep the snow on your property.
